This how-to will help you make a solar powered ceiling fan for around RM400 or less depending on the materials that you buy.
What will this or do, you ask? If the 10 watt solar panel received 5 hours per day of full sun, then you would have generated 50 watt-hours of energy.
If you are using the high efficient three 8" blade ceiling fan from the Kit, it only draws 5 watts of power, then you could power it for about 10 hours with the energy that the solar panel collected that day.
Since this project involves a battery, you have the ability to store over 90 watts of energy. This solar powered ceiling fan will keep you cool for the whole day and night.
The DIY Kit includes:
1) 10 Watt Solar Panel
2) GAMMA 3.0 USB Solar Charger Controller 10A (up to 120Wp solar array)
3) 7.6 Amp-hour 12V Seal lead Acid (SLA) Battery with AGM technology
4) High Efficiency Brushless Motor Ceiling Fan with three 8" blades (12Vdc, 5W, 50cm diameter)
5) Outdoor cable & battery wire, switcher, connector & etc.
